Classic & Vintage Vehicles at Ingleton Village Fayre

Hello my name is Neil Flowers. For many years the village of Ingleton, County Durham has been holding a traditional village fayre in early June. A few years ago it was decided to add a Classic & Vintage Vehicle Show to the list of attractions at the fayre. My initial involvement was purely as a classic car owner just bringing my own cars along on the day of the fayre.

However for in 2008 I joined the organising committee and volunteered to develop the Vintage Classic Vehicle show further. I wanted to increase the number and variety of vehicles attending.

The number of vehicles attending has increased over the years and at the latest event in 2011 the figure had increased to around 125 vehicles.

I try to get as much publicity for the event as possible by using events listings such as Morgan's Yearbook (well worth buying yourself a copy - link for Morgan's Yearbook is on my links page) , using contacts I have build up with local clubs and the local press. The aim being to ensure a good number of vehicles attending on the day.
